The word "discipline" comes from the word "disciple" which is defined as someone who is a follower of Jesus Christ.  At our preschool we teach children to be disciples of Christ and to treat others the way God would want us to treat them.  We use disciplne strategies that are positive and uplifting, but that also teach children the appropriate way to behave and handle situations.  We help children walk through problems solving strategies when in conflict with other chrildren and lovingingly teach them how to listen and respect their teachers.  We will provide redirection strategies and time out if neccessary and will contact a parent if there is a safty concern or a problem that continues or worsens.
